If you like the small town atmospher you will like Forks.
We are a one stop light town with 30 mph traffic located 55 miles south of Port Angeles. We have a
fully staffed hospital, supermarket shopping, hardware stores, several restaurants and plenty of other establishments
so don't worry that you will be stuck in Booneville. We are located in the heart of the beautiful Western Olympic
National Park and with our mild summer weather many travellers return each year to enjoy life at a slower place than the large
metropolitan cities with 6 lanes of rushing traffic.
Good News. Starting May 1st we will have new managers and
a new owner to boot. After operating the park for 30 years my wife "Arlene" and I "Bob" will actually
retire and quit pretending that we were retired. Operating an RV park takes a lot more effort than many realize. The
hard part is missing the fine friends we have met over the years, like the Tuttman's who come from Florida every year and
stay twice each summer for 3 or 4 days at a time. There have been so many of you, like the Tuttmans, that have made
owning an RV park a worthwhile and memorable experience. We have truly enjoyed serving such a fine clientele.
change in ownership is going to take some finessing on taking reservations. So during
the month of April all the reservations are tentative. You can call to make a reservation but they
will not be confirmed until May 1st provided the change in ownership goes as planned.
the good news is that the new owners want to provide better service and will have a longer tourist season than my wife
and I planned on having. So, as we understand it now, the season will be May 1st thru Oct 31st or possibly all
winter. They will decide that as they get a feel for operating the park.
The new managers,
David and Wendy have operated RV parks for many years and the new owners own RV parks all over the great west and
have been in the business for 23 years. They will be offering online registration and other modern conveniences.
tuned and check back May 1st for a detailed description of the new operation.
